Prize Money Terms & Conditions

1. Category Eligibility Rules
   • Half Marathon – International Elite
     • Eligibility: Exclusive to non-Indian / overseas international runners.
     • Registration Requirement: International elite runners must be officially represented and registered through a World Athletics-recognized agent or agency.
     • Direct Entries: Direct or individual public registrations will not be considered for the International Elite Prize Money category.
   • Half Marathon – Indian Elite / Overall
     • Eligibility: Exclusive to Indian national runners.
     • Preference Criteria: Primary consideration and preference for prize money in the Indian Elite / Overall category will be given to athletes recognized by and registered through Athletics Federation of India (AFI) / Indian Athletics bodies.
     • Unaffiliated Runners: Unrecognized or direct entries may not be eligible for the Indian Elite prize money pool unless explicitly cleared by event officials.
   • Overall Category (10K & 5K)
     • Open Eligibility: Unless specified otherwise under dedicated elite categories, overall prize money winners can be either an Overseas or an Indian runner.
     • Applicable Races: Prize money applies strictly to the 10K and 5K categories. (The 3K category is non-competitive and not eligible for prize money).
   • Age Group Categories (Half Marathon, 10K, & 5K)
     • Inclusivity & Inspiration: To foster an inclusive, aspirational environment and welcome runners of all generations, dedicated Age Group Prize Money is offered across the Half Marathon, 10K, and 5K categories.
     • Official Age Brackets:
       • 18 – 35 Years
       • 36 – 50 Years
       • 51 – 64 Years
       • 65 Years & Above
     • Age Verification: Age group eligibility is calculated based on the participant’s official age on the day of the event. Winners in these categories must present valid government-issued photo age-proof documents during post-race verification.
     • In case of failure to showcase the valid govt id proof will result in disqualification from the winners list.
2. Timing, Ranking, & Disqualification Rules
   • Gun Time for Elites: Official rankings and podium placements (Elite (International & Indian Half Marathon only) are determined strictly by Gross Timing (Gun Time). Potential winners are strongly advised to align themselves at the front of the start line.
   • Net Time – Is applicable for age category prize winners, Overall, in 10K & 5K category.
   • Start Time Cut-off: Runners crossing the start line more than 15 minutes after the official race start time will be disqualified from prize money contention.
   • Overall, vs. Age Group Awards: Overall fastest timing awards have no age group restrictions. Participants claiming Age Group awards will be ranked within their specific age bracket as outlined above.
   • If anyone has secured a position in overall top 3, will not be eligible in the age group prize money
   • Provisional Rankings: Initial rank announcements are provisional and remain subject to post-race technical verification and due diligence across all categories.
   • Course Verification & Timing Points: To be eligible, a runner’s Bib Tag must record valid split times across all timing mats on the course, including the start and finish lines.
   • Anti-Cheat & Verification: Final results are verified via physical technical officials and anti-cheat cameras.
   • Bib Tampering / Transfer: Any athlete found interchanging, transferring, or swapping their bib number/tag with another individual will be immediately disqualified and forfeit all timing records and prize claims.
   • Final Authority: The decision of the Race Technical Officials (Telangana Athletics Association) regarding finisher rankings, timing, and prize winners is final and binding.
3. Documentation, & Disbursal
   
   • General Disbursal Timeline: Where doping tests are not required, standard prize money disbursal will commence 21 days post-event date.
   • Payment Mode: Prize money will be disbursed strictly via bank transfer (NEFT/RTGS/Wire) or official cheque.
   • Required Documentation:
     • Indian Nationals: Must submit a valid Government Photo ID (Aadhaar / Voter ID / Passport) and a PAN Card.
     • International Participants: Must submit a valid Passport copy, bank account details, and any applicable tax/country clearance documents required by Indian law.
   • Taxation: All prize money and bonus winnings are subject to applicable Tax Deducted at Source (TDS) under the Indian Income Tax Act, 1961. Tax deductions will be borne by the winning participant.
4. General Terms
   • The event organizers reserve the right to amend, alter, or update any rules, guidelines, age categories, or prize money structures at any time prior to or following the event.
